Voluntary Action Training Ltd delivers the Work Programme in the Western Isles and services are available to all clients including those aged 16-24. Numbers in this group are small.  It also delivers Mandatory Work Activity.

 

Stage 1

• Referral is through DWP

Stage 2

• Barriers to employment, including lack of CV, no references, etc., available.  There are no placements available specifically to this group.

Stage 3

• All referrals made through DWP.

Stage 4

• Placements are available through Youth contract which provides the employer with a fixed contribution wage incentive.  Placements are for 6 months.

Stage 5

• In work support is offered to Work Programme clients for 2 years. This includes monthly telephone contact.
