About the Outer Hebrides Youth Employment Activity Plan
The aim of the Outer Hebrides Youth Employment Activity Plan is to help all of our young people to fulfil their potential by developing the essential skills for life, learning and work, thereby improving outcomes for learners and employers alike.

The Youth Employment Activity Plan aligns local and national service provision in order to support individuals into employment through the five stages of the Employability Skills Pipeline.

In line with similar developments across Scotland, the Employability Skills Pipeline is a key element in the Outer Hebrides employability and employment strategy meaning, services are centred around the needs of individuals and the real opportunities available locally.
The pipeline provides a clear structure within which services fit, playing to strengths and underpinned by common performance management systems as well as integration with National Services and Community Structures.
