Target Groups

16-19 year olds

Activity Agreements seek to engage young people who have left formal education and are furthest away from learning, with Activity Agreements potentially being the first step for many onto a positive destination.

Young people can access a range of activities based on their interests which include Farming, Administration, Life skills, Arts, Catering, Care, Literacy as well as other activities.

Sessions are often delivered by key local providers such as Macaulay College, Stornoway Foyer Project, HIE, Education & Children’s Services, Western Isles Learning Shop, etc.

Delivery Area

The Activity Agreements are open to any young person aged between 16 – 19 in the Western Isles, the geographical area comprises of Lewis, Harris, Uist and Barra.

Referral Details

Young people can be referred for an Activity Agreement through a range of partners including Skills Development Scotland, Action for Children, Foyer Project, etc.

A young person can also self-refer. A referral form should be completed for each young person and a programme of activities drawn up along with a time line.
